Hello Everyone!

As the year comes to a close, and I start work on my newest venture (and account), I just wanted to take a moment to reflect and show my gratitude to everyone who has followed me on this account for the past 6 years. It's still hard to believe it's been that long, but this was my ever online/social media account and I'm feeling a bit sentimental. This was a good place for me, my home on the internet, but now it's time to start something new, and to move on. I still intend to keep this account up, if nothing else for personal use, so I may pop in one in a while to check in on things.

Now, it's the last day of 2017, and as tradition, it's time for the year in review!!! 

I gotta say 2017 was a pretty good year for me, a vast improvement from 2016, and I hope 2018 continues to be as good, if not better.

1) Where did you begin 2017?
I started out a bit lonely this year, but I had hope and set some goals. 

2) What was your status by Valentine's Day?
Still single, but I ended up meeting someone who has become one of my closest friends. 

3) Were you in school anytime this year?
I visited a few, but again no classes. 

4) How did you earn your money?
I worked the same job as I had last year, which has been okay...and I picked up a second job at a certain fabric store chain.

5) Did you have to go to the hospital?
Nope.

6) Did you have any encounters with the police?
I'm happy to say that I didn't this year!

7) Would you relive 2017 over and over again?
Despite how positive it was, nah!

8) What did you purchase that was over $1000?
I finally paid off my last big college loan!!! That was a huge weight lifted off my shoulders!

9) Did you know anybody who got married?
Yes! Two former coworkers of mine, and I was lucky enough to be able to go to both weddings! 

10) Did you know anybody who passed away?
I lost my Grandmother this year, who I had been close to as a child. That was hard, but fortunately that's been the extent of it for people in my life this year. 

Celebrities wise, I gotta say Tom Petty was surprising and made me stop for a minute. I really enjoy his music, especially with Stevie Nicks. He's one of those performers I'm really gonna miss. 

11) Did you know anyone who had a baby?
No actually. 

12) Did you move anywhere?
I'm happy to say not so much this year. Nice to settle down for a bit.

13) What concerts/shows did you go to?
I went to a few small ones, but I went to more movies than anything this year. 

14) Are you registered to vote?
This is a dumb question, yeah, yeah I've been answering this one since back in 2010/2011

15) Do you still have the same job as you did in 2017?
Yup!

16) Has anyone betrayed you in 2017?
Actually no, this year has been pretty chill on that front. 

17) Where do you live now?
Same place as last year. 

18) Describe your birthday?
Probably one of the best I've ever had! It was nice to actually have people to celebrate it with this year.

19) What's one thing you thought you'd never do but did in 2017?
Conventions and cosplay. I didn't think I'd go to any this year, but I ended up going to 3 of them! Even had an adventure to one out of state, that was a lot of fun. 
I also made a lot of friends this year, even met a few online people in person.

20) What has been your favorite moment?
Anytime I've been able to spend with the people I care about, those moments I can take a step back and just be thankful that I'm in them. 

21) What's something you learned about yourself?
How high my endurance for stressful things is. 

22) Any new additions to your family?
My friends!

23) What was your best month?
Probably the period of May to August. I did so much, and was preparing for the convention I talked about. Made lots of great memories.

25) What music will you remember 2017 by?
Probably a lot of the same music that I've been listening to since last year....oh wait there's this.   

26) Favorite book you read?
I've read lots of comics over the year, and I'm currently reading a book about parrots keeping (as I've kind of fallen in love with birds this year)
And, a bit on the religious side, I've been reading my bible, just a habit I've picked up.  

27) Favorite Movie?
Out of all the movies I saw this year, I have to "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" was my favorite (even compared to "Last Jedi" and I loved that movie). It's such a fun movie, and I'm really enjoying how those characters are growing and changing. It was definitely worth the wait! The music was good too!


28) Favorite TV show?
I really enjoyed some Netflix shows recently. "F is for Family" had to be my favorite, I really liked the family dynamic there and watching them with their struggles. I also enjoy stuff set in more "modern" history. The 70's is always kind of interesting to me anyway...it was a special time. "Bo'Jack Horseman" is good too, although it makes you hurt. "Rick and..." er I mean "Richard and Mortimer" ( ) was one I started watching this year. Despite the insanity that seems to live in the fanbase about it, the shows pretty good actually.

29) New friend?
I made lots of new friends this year and that's something I'm really thankful for. After a year of feeling so on alone, it's finally nice to have friends and a support group again. It's opened up a world of new experiences for me, and has given me opportunities to do things I didn't think I'd ever do. Words just aren't enough to express how grateful I am.

30) Would you say you've changed since the beginning of this year?
For the better!!!!

31) Do you think 2018 will be better or worse?
I think so, I feel more sure about this upcoming year, then I did this one. I feel like I'm finally moving forward and getting to where I need to be.

Hey uh, so you know who really doesn't use this account anymore?

I've had this account forever, but I just don't use it anymore. Lots as changed since I made this account 6 years ago, good changes though, good changes. And I'd like to try to make something more relevant to my interests. I tend to sew more these days, so I've decided to make an account for my sewing projects, allshewantstodoissew

I'm not sure if that's what anyone here would find remotely interesting (it's still pretty bare at the moment), but if anything at least you all know that I'm alive.  

Oh! I'm not going to delete this account or anything, I intend to keep it up, if anything to still use to talk to people.

So I totally missed out on the April Fool's Day shenanigans yesterday (the deviantART app doesn't do badges, which is unfortunate really), and to come back to all these pears is kind of great really.
Oh well!

Isn't too bad actually, I finally decided to download it.

Well, it's going to be 2017 in only two days, and I, like the rest of the world, am ready for 2016 to be over with. 
2016 for me has been...."challenging" to say the least. 
Despite that, some really good things have happened for me this year. I've got to do things I've wanted to do for a long time! And I have lots to be thankful for!
I'm trying to stay positive for 2017, and hope that it'll be a better year overall. 
That's all you can do really, living in a constant state of dread isn't healthy, and it just makes things worse. 

Anyway, I know I haven't been very active this year, but I never miss these! 

So, let's get into it!

1) Where did you begin 2016?
In January, determined to make some changes in my life. 

2) What was your status by Valentine's Day?
Single. 

3) Were you in school anytime this year?
I visited my friend who was in school, but no I wasn't in any classes.

I worked! I finally got my first full time job this year (even if it wasn't the one I had intended.) It's alright, a means to an end. 
I also worked a seasonal job at a haunt. 

5) Did you have to go to the hospital?
Nope. 

6) Did you have any encounters with the police?
Ha, actually I got pulled over for having my high beams on, but I didn't get a ticket (it was after midnight and I was coming home from my seasonal job and was pretty tired, I think the officer could see that and took pity on me)

7) Would you relive 2016 over and over again?
No, I'd rather not, next question!

8) What did you purchase that was over $1000?
In one go? Probably not. But, pretty sure my road trip to Ohio was up there. 

9) Did you know anybody who got married?
Yes! Two former coworkers of mine, and I was lucky enough to be able to go to both weddings!

Yes, I actually lost my Grandfather this year. 

And as for celebrities...it seems like there was someone dead EVERY. FREAKIN'. DAY. this year. Like, it started with Lemmy back in late 2015, then we lost Bowie, and then Scott Weiland from STP, and it just kind of went on, and on, and on! This past week in particular seems to be pretty vicious. Like there's someone everyday since we lost Carrie Fisher. It's ridiculous! 
Going to have to jump on the bandwagon and say "SCREW YOU, 2016!" 

11) Did you know anyone who had a baby?
One of the ladies whom I volunteer with at the local dog rescue, had a little girl. 

12) Did you move anywhere?
I think the question really should be "Did I Stop?" 
Because ever since I set out to move to Ohio in April (which didn't work out for a really BS reason), I have been tossed about places like a rag doll. And for reasons out of my control, I'm really not going to say much more of it than that. But it's been very...aggravating to say the least. 

At the end of the day though, I like being on my own, and having my own independence. 

13) What concerts/shows did you go to?
Not any, didn't have the time nor money for that. 

14) Are you registered to vote?
Yeah, feel like it was really wasted this year. What a joke that was!

15) Do you still have the same job as you did in 2015?
Nope! Gotta say, it was nice to actually have Thanksgiving off, first time in 3 years!

16) Has anyone betrayed you in 2016?
Yes. Really rather not air my dirty laundry out in public though. 

17) Where do you live now?
On my own, renting a room boarding house style. It's pretty nice actually.

18) Describe your birthday?
Simple and quiet, but meaningful. 

19) What's one thing you thought you'd never do but did in 2016?
I never thought I'd have to move so much. 

I never thought I'd have the opportunity to work at a haunt, and to be able to act and do make up, two things that I really enjoyed doing!
They were long nights, sometimes cold, and slow, and the pay wasn't the greatest (I'd be doing it for free, to be perfectly honest), but I loved every minute of it!
And let me tell you, scaring the crap out of people is good for the soul! A great stress reliever! It was something I needed! 
If I'm still in the area come Halloween-time I plan on going back for another run. 

Finally, I recently joined a local dog rescue. I've only been there a few months, but it's been something very positive for me. I feel like I'm actually making a difference.

20) What has been your favorite moment?
I have a few, can't really remember all of them. 

21) What's something you learned about yourself?
That I am very adaptable, and a problem solver. 

22) Any new additions to your family?
Got more chickens.   

23) What was your best month?
Probably this past month. It was a good kind of busy, I had something going on every weekend and had lots of fun!

25) What music will you remember 2016 by?
I listened to lots of Fleetwood Mac, Nirvana, and STP this year. 
I don't know if there's really any "song of the year" for me. 

26) Favorite book you read?
I read lots of Star Wars books and comics this year. 
I really enjoyed "Tales from Jabba's Palace" in particular. It's old Extended Universe stuff, so most fanboys are probably going to whine and go "UHHH, IT'S NOT CANON ANYMORE!!!" 
To that I say, "Go back to your mom's basement you "Chuspa Slimo." 
I do what I want..

27) Favorite Movie?
"Rogue One". I loved it! Spent the whole year waiting for it, made a costume to wear to it and everything. It really surprised me too, I wasn't expecting the tone it had. Very different from the other films before it, I'll say. 


28) Favorite TV show?
I got into Star Trek this year, not sure why I didn't start watching it sooner. I really love it.
Oh yes, and I ended up watching "Murder, She Wrote" quite a bit as I played Sims. 
Jessica Fletcher doesn't mess around, lemme tell ya!

29) New friend?
With the dogs, sure. 
As for people, not sure if I've really made any new friends, but I've definitely rekindled friendships with people I've known from college who live in the area where I live now. It's nice to actually have a social life again. 

30) Would you say you've changed since the beginning of this year?
Yes! Yes I have! 

31) Do you think 2017 will be better or worse?
I hope it will be better, I really do. Not just on a personal level, but for the world we live in. We could really use some better days.
